Bakuchiol is a natural, plant-based active ingredient, while retinol is a form of vitamin A. With regular use, bakuchiol softens wrinkles, firms facial contours and helps reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation. It is gentle and generally well tolerated. Our Bakuchiol & Squalane Oil Serum contains 1% bakuchiol.
Noili products are simple, carefully chosen formulas for everyday use and are dermatologically tested. Our formulas focus on hydration and skin-barrier support, using ingredients such as ceramides, squalane, panthenol and beta-glucan.
Skin sensitivity is very individual, though, and dermatological testing does not mean that a product can’t cause a reaction in anyone. If your skin is sensitive or reactive, we recommend:
- Patch testing a small amount on the inner forearm for 24 to 48 hours before first use.
- Introducing one new product at a time, especially active ones such as vitamin C or bakuchiol.
- Checking the full ingredient list on the product page for anything you know you react to.
If you have a diagnosed skin condition (such as rosacea, eczema or dermatitis), please consult your doctor or dermatologist. You can also write to us at [email] and we’ll gladly share the full ingredient list of any product.
For sensitive skin we usually suggest starting with Bakuchiol & Squalane Oil Serum (no added fragrance), introduced gradually. If you prefer a lighter gel texture, look at Repairing PeptiFirm Gel Serum. Please patch test first and check the ingredient list for anything you react to.
For some products 2 ml samples are available.
Yes, Noili Peptides & Ferments Hydrating Essence and Bakuchiol & Squalane Oil Serum were tested together at the independent laboratory Dr. Koziej. Women and men aged 30–55 used them twice daily for 8 weeks. Results: 29% higher skin hydration, 17% lower water loss through the skin (TEWL), 19% overall smoothing of fine wrinkles and 11% less redness.
Bakuchiol is not a retinoid and is not part of the vitamin A family. However, there is currently insufficient clinical data on its use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, we recommend consulting your doctor before use.
